Mesopotamia (called Mespo by the locals) is located in Trumbull County in northeast Ohio. The Mespo area is home to the 4th largest old order Amish population in the world.

While sitting in the gazebo or picnic shelter on the green, you will see Amish horses and buggies, ponies pulling small carts, and horses pulling open surreys.

Amish families often gather at the End of the Commons General Store , in which one can find necessary kitchen staples as well as a deli counter, penny candy, books and gifts.

Learn about special events throughout the year, such as the Ox Roast and Fall Heritage Days at the Events menu tab. Mespo has much to offer at any time of the year.   Learn more about Amish and Yankee merchants, and ongoing local attractions at the Attractions meu tab. The area has many charming Bed & Breakfast accommodations, with larger resorts nearby, and national chain hotels an easy drive away.   See lodging options at the Lodging menu tab.

Our Local Culture tab will help guide you as you explore our Amish culture, as well our 200 years of history, the local maple syrup industry and other important facets that help define our area.

The rightmost menu tab above offers Directions and Contact information..
