Mesopotamia Township is historically important in the pioneer development of the Connecticut Western Reserve, dating back to the
late 1700s. Visitors will find nearly 100% of the architecture around the town square in Mespo dating to Civil War era, or earlier.
In the town's Fairview Cemetery, internationally known sculptor Howard Brigden created many of the monuments, including
his own headstone and the dog who waits for his master. Plan to visit Mespo's
historic locations
while you are here!
